Dr. Marcela Sjöberg Biosketch

Marcela Sjöberg received his M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering and Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Neurosciences from Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile. She trained as a Postdoc at London Institute of Medical Sciences of the Imperial College London, United Kingdom with Dr. Nial Dillon and at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, United Kingdom with Dr. David Adams. Marcela assumed a faculty position at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as Assistant Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology in 2016. Marcela is currently the head of the Epigenetic Regulation Lab at the Faculty of Biological Sciences and research in her group focuses on studying epigenetic mechanisms involved in cancer and immune related diseases and their contribution to immune metabolic reprogramming.
