Sanger Prize 2025

Dear all, I am emailing you this afternoon regarding a different piece of work I am involved in which is the Sanger Prize. An annual competition which is aimed at undergraduate students from low and middle income countries. The winner of the prize receives a fully supported three month, all expenses paid trip to Sanger to work within a programme of their choice. The prize was established by John Sulston (the founding Sanger Director) and funded using the money from his Nobel Prize. It has been running for over 15 years now and has gained in popularity during this time, last year we received over 500 applications for the first stage. The Sanger Prize offers a brilliant opportunity for aspiring young researchers to come to the Institute, and many who have won in the past have gone on to complete PhD's, some in Cambridge and one very recent winner is currently a PhD student at Sanger. International Fellows - new cohort meeting

Dear all, Trevor has asked me to set up a zoom meeting with all our incoming International Fellows, to allow you to all meet each other prior to the retreat and to give you the opportunity to raise any issues you might have and the chance to discuss them.
