UPDATES: I hope everyone is having a great start to 2021. There are some new members since we last sent out an update, so welcome to everyone. As a reminder, this email is our common HCA email address to email the OCBN group. If you need to email the coordinators specifically, please email Ines and I at oral@humancellatlas.org or use the Slack channel for any messaging as needed. We will be sending out information soon for a time for us all to have a virtual meeting to introduce ourselves, our science, and where this group can go in the future. Stay tuned for more information on that.

CZI RFA: As some of you may know, CZI put a request out for projects focused on establishing a pediatric cell atlas -- see: https://chanzuckerberg.com/rfa/single-cell-pediatrics/ [chanzuckerberg.com] due March 30th. After discussing internally with HCA and other networks, there is going to be a very organized response among the well-established networks. With our network being so young and these grants supporting up to 10 PIs, I am encouraging those interested to join other network group submissions to better support the CZI RFA and our network in the long run. To this end, I will be leading a project between the established Lung Network and our new Oral/Craniofacial Networks. If successful as one part of this larger initiative, I will make sure that data flows back to the OCBN for further collaboration/analysis. I know that others are discussing joining other CZI submissions with the same goal as mine.
