Dear STEM Ambassadors,

We’re running an activity at the Norwich Science Festival on Tuesday 22nd October at the Forum, Norwich. The theme for this day of the festival is ‘Our Natural World’ and we are running an activity to show the global reach of the Vertebrate Genomes Project, which has sequenced the genomes of vertebrates from all over the world. This is to highlight the benefits of international collaboration in science.

The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm but we can organise shorter shifts. We will cover any food and transport costs for you to attend the event. We will also go through the activity with you beforehand so you will be comfortable running it on the day.

You do not need a DBS certificate to take part in this activity.

This is a great opportunity to engage with an audience who aren’t often given the chance to find out about the work we do here on campus. If you’d like to get involved, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing engage@wgc.org.uk

Best wishes,
