Hi STEM Ambassadors

We have a group of 60 Year 5 and year 6 pupils (8-10 yrs) visiting the campus between 10am and 2:30 pm.  We are running parallel activities with the group across the campus.  We are looking for STEM Ambassadors who could support the visiting by taking part in or running the following activities:

DNA extraction session  and Investigate activity for 30 students x 2

Help students to extract DNA from a strawberry using household items and help them to carry out a variation investigation and report their results

Meet the expert (30 minutes) x 2

Groups of students rotate around different staff working at the campus to find out more about what they do as a job.

DNA bracelets and code crackers (30 minutes) x 2
