Hi all
As a follow on to my e-mail earlier in the week, I’m planning to send out the following
update to all staff in the morning (Rachel – EBI will come to you and Lindsey). There are
no new actions – this is additional advisory material. If you have any comments/issues
please do let me know.
All the best
Sian
Dear all
As promised earlier in the week, the Incident Management Team would like to share:
* The current phased response plan for managing the Coronavirus outbreak
* The process flow charts for first responders to follow should someone feel unwell
during this period of time
You will also see advisory slides appearing on the TV screens tomorrow and a quick link to
the Campus Coronavirus guidance on the front page of Helix.
The response plan (attached) is set out in phases, communicating the different activities
needing to happen depending on increasing risk levels. The risk levels are: planning
phase, cases present in the UK, cases present in the region and cases on campus. The
purpose of the document is to give assurance and enable us to deploy a calm and prepared
response, should they emerge.
The process flow charts are provided for two scenarios; the first if someone feels unwell
with potential symptoms whilst at work and the second if someone feels unwell at home.
They show the actions needed for staff, line managers, HR representatives and the Incident
Management Team. They follow PHE guidelines and have been designed to provide support to
anyone feeling unwell, whilst minimizing the risk to others.
We are aware that following issue of this plan, you may have queries which we would like
to support you with. We are therefore holding a
* Coronavirus drop in session for all Campus staff on Wednesday 11th March , between
12:00 – 1:00pm in C302 (above Dina)
Members of the Campus Incident Management Team and representatives of GRL HR team will be
available to answer any questions.
As a reminder, the current advice for the Campus is provided here:
https://helix.wtgc.org/notice-board/coronavirus-further-guidance
The best precautions you can take are to continue to maintain good hygiene practices, not
touching face or eyes, washing hands for at least 20 seconds and using/ binning tissues.
We will continue to monitor the situation and should guidance change we will update you.
Thank you for your cooperation and if you have queries please either contact your HR
representative or visit us next Wednesday.
Kind Regards
