Best wishes, Elisabetta Elisabetta Mereu is a computational biologist and the leader of the “Cellular Systems Genomics” Group at the “Josep Carreras Leukemia Research” Institute of Barcelona since 2021. Her research focus is to define the spatial-temporal organization of complex tissues in health and diseases, particularly in the study of inflammation as a key driver of any chronic disease. She is an active member of the Human Cell Atlas consortium, where she leads the data analysis for the generation of the first Human Cell Atlas of the Pancreas. Furthermore, as part of the Standard and Technology working Group of the HCA, she led the largest benchmarking of scRNA-seq protocols (Mereu et al, Nat.Biotech., 2020) and, more recently, she is working on the development of a new framework to compare and integrate single-cell multimodal data, including scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq and Spatial Transcriptomics methods. -- Elisabetta Mereu, PhD Group Leader Cellular Systems Genomics Group Josep Carreras Research Institute (IJC) Carretera de Can Ruti.
