Hi,
The PGP viewer will be down from 6pm BST Apr 5 to the morning of Apr 10
for maintenance. During this time, there will be work done to all
databases used in the viewer and access will not be available. If this

possible alternatives.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Hi PGP viewer users,
As you may have already noticed on the frontpage of the viewer, the
viewers blog or the viewers twitter account, the PGP viewer will be
offline during the period between the 21st of October to the 23rd of
October. This email is just a friendly reminder.
This downtime is due to planned maintenance and shutdown of the Hinxton
Data Centre. During this period many of the genome campus's
computational and web resources will be offline.
Any new changes or developments will be updated on the blog and twitter
account found here:
http://pgpviewer.blogspot.com/http://twitter.com/#!/pgpviewer
Any questions, comments please email pgp-help(a)sanger.ac.uk

Hi,
Compara functionality is now added to the pgp viewer. What this means
is you can now compare certain assemblies against each other. In most
cases, pgp or agp viewers are compared to wgs assemblies. Visually the
analysis will display all the assemblies being compared against each
other and return their syntenic regions in the browser. For a 2-3 min
quick example on what you can use Compara for, check out this entry from
the blog:
http://pgpviewer.blogspot.com/2011/08/pgp-compara-multiple-assembly-analysi…
Please note for the most recent pgpviewers released yesterday, the
compara analysis are not available, but will be shortly. The current
assemblies with compara are listed in the blog.
Any other issues, questions or comments please email pgp-help(a)sanger.ac.uk
