Dear Colleague We are pleased to announce that the next Human Cell Atlas Developmental and Pediatric Cell Atlas Meeting will be held on 20 - 22 November 2022 in Paris, France. We hope this will be a hybrid meeting with in-person and virtual attendance; however, details will depend on the pandemic situation at the time. Registration will open this summer and in the meantime please save the date. The HCA Developmental and Pediatric Cell Atlas 2022 Meeting will convene our community to share updates and insights on implementing the proposed strategies outlined in the Developmental roadmap. We hope to bring together diverse communities of scientists, computational biologists, clinicians, and ethicists who are interested in forging new collaborations to support this effort. Our ultimate goal is to benefit and improve health, cell and tissue engineering strategies and clinical therapy. We hope to meet in-person but capacity will be limited. To maximise audience participation and accessibility all main sessions and breakout sessions will be live-streamed on a dedicated event platform. Sessions will also be made available for on-demand viewing on the event platform, for those not able to attend in real-time. Safety is our top priority for this meeting. HCA 2022 General Meeting Austria, Vienna Dear Colleague We are delighted to invite you to register your interest to attend the 2022 Human Cell Atlas Hybrid General Meeting to be held June 27 - 29. Main sessions are scheduled between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm CEST each day. To register your interest to attend the meeting in-person or to register for virtual participation click here. Please note, in-person spaces are limited. We will do our best to accommodate in-person registration requests, but cannot guarantee your place at this time. You will receive confirmation whether your in-person place has been secured within 2 weeks after completing the registration form. Requests for in-person registration will close Thursday, May 12. If you are from a LMIC and need financial assistance in order to attend the meeting, please contact meetings(a)humancellatlas.org on or before Thursday, May 12. The 2022 HCA General Meeting will convene our community to share updates and insights on new HCA research and initiatives. The meeting theme is “Building draft atlases, integrating across communities, and maximizing impact.” The General Meeting will bring together computational and wet-lab biologists as well as data managers and many other groups from around the world, who will connect, plan and map a path towards the first draft of the atlas. We particularly want to welcome new researchers: Building and connecting the atlases, rendering them broadly useful and accessible, and making progress on the HCA’s goals of positively impacting medicine will take a joint effort. Hi All, We hope all is well for you and yours this 2022. We are looking forward to another exciting year for our network and the discoveries that will continue to come from your projects and collaborations. Related to this Human Cell Atlas Oral & Craniofacial Bionetwork (OCBN), we have a few updates re: publications, funding announcements, and our annual OCBN virtual conference. 1. All the current published data related to the healthy Human Oral and Craniofacial Cell Atlas has been summarized in the attached excel sheet. We are continuing to update this as more publications come out. Cheers to @Ana Caetano for assembling this as part of a roadmap/blueprint publication currently under review; further, thanks to the many of you that thoughtfully contributed to the authoring of that work (also attached). If you are aware of any other datasets that could be included here, please let us know. 2. Our burgeoning network could benefit from collaborative funding opportunities across the lifespan, from soft to hard tissue niches, in heath and disease. To that end, we wanted to highlight the recent RFA from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative related to rare, pediatric, inflammatory diseases: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__chanzuckerberg.com_rfa… | As this group already appreciates, there are hundreds of rare diseases with oral manifestations. If you are interested, we encourage you to apply. If you would like to discuss more, feel free to email us. 3. The next HCA General Meeting will take place in Vienna, Austria from June 27-29th. The HCA organizers are currently exploring ways to maximize capacity, as well as add a virtual component to the meeting.
