Hi STEM Ambassadors
We have a group of 60 Year 5 and year 6 pupils (8-10 yrs) visiting the campus between 10am
and 2:30 pm. We are running parallel activities with the group across the campus. We are
looking for STEM Ambassadors who could support the visiting by taking part in or running
the following activities:
DNA extraction session and Investigate activity for 30 students x 2
Help students to extract DNA from a strawberry using household items and help them to
carry out a variation investigation and report their results
Meet the expert (30 minutes) x 2
Groups of students rotate around different staff working at the campus to find out more
about what they do as a job.
DNA bracelets and code crackers (30 minutes) x 2
Help students to make a DNA bracelet and help them to decode DNA codes.
