It would be good to avoid a situation where someone is stuck in the dark again, especially when nobody else is around, i.e. if someone needs to access the labs over the Christmas period. Sotham’s have carried out the repair this morning, so now need to check it works. I spoke to them earlier and asked what they would need – the lights will need to be off for 3 hours, however the emergency lighting will be on and they will only need to access the lab to turn them off at the start of the 3 hours and to check at the end of it. The room can be used in this time, but it will only have the red emergency lighting so will be quite dark. We need to let Sotham's know our availability for a whole morning or afternoon where the lights can be off- please can you fill in the doodle poll and let me know when would be best? I could only add dates up until the 14th for now but will extend if there’s no times in there that works. They also want to test the lighting tomorrow afternoon, which I’ve just found out will require the main lights to be off between 1pm and 4pm tomorrow. The emergency lighting will remain on, but obviously that’s a very low light to work in. This can be postponed if required, so if anyone needs to access either the organoid room or tissue processing room tomorrow afternoon, please let me know and I will request another date.
